Administrative Support - A newly formed administrative office has recently been established to assist ACFs during their training. This office is called the Clinical Academic Training Office (CATO). The office will act as a hub for departmental communication and assist students in locating supervisors. It will also facilitate the first stages of the application process to any clinical academic programme and liaise with the Higher Degrees office and the Clinical School of Medicine. Further details can be found at the CATO website.

Fellowship Opportunities – The CATO office will periodically send interested applicants information about available funding for fellowships via email and the staff are available to discuss this application process with you. Each term we will be offering 2 – 3 ‘drop-in sessions’, where you will have an opportunity to learn how the process of gaining a research fellowship is carried out. These sessions will be announced at the beginning of the academic year and are led by senior professors who have experience in the interview process for various research councils or charitable funding bodies.
